Job Description
The PhD project aims to advance the fundamental understanding of ferroic order and explore novel types of ferroic domains, such as multiferroicity, altermagnetism, and hidden states. Candidates will:
- Design and set up nonlinear-optical experiments using pulsed laser systems
- Perform spatially resolved imaging and manipulation of domains in various ferroic materials
- Troubleshoot and maintain laser setups and conduct experiments in cryogenic environments
- Engage with other experimental techniques and theoretical discussions
- Work in an interdisciplinary team environment and communicate findings effectively
