- Qualification:
- PhD/Doctoral degree in biology or life sciences
- Strong bioinformatic skills or thermal tolerance modeling skills with peer-reviewed publications
- Strong statistical skills using R
- Desirable: Molecular biology laboratory experience, genome/transcriptome assembly experience, experience working with macroalgae, experimental breeding and local adaptation research experience, car driving license
- Job Description:
- Develop a high-quality chromosome-level F. vesiculosus genome
- Conduct selection experiments in collaboration with the Experimental Ecology team
- Investigate genomic targets of selection in heat-resistant genotypes
- Model heat survival of F. vesiculosus along its distribution range under different climate change scenarios
- Encouragement to establish an independent research profile
