- Proven experience and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Background in mycobacterial genetics or biochemistry.
- Experience in zebrafish manipulation is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will work on a project aimed at developing novel antibiotics against NTMs, specifically focusing on:
- Validating the mode of action of Tricyclic-Spirolactams (TriSLa) by generating (conditional) mutants in NTMs.
- Evaluating the efficacy of pharmacologically optimized TriSLa in a zebrafish model of infection.
- Collaborating with a consortium of experts in mycobacteriology, bacterial genetics, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, and animal models.
- Utilizing a rich multidisciplinary environment and access to various experimental approaches and core facilities.
