Postdoctoral Position in CO2 Capture: The Laboratory for Functional Inorganic Materials (LFIM) at EPFL in Switzerland is seeking two postdoctoral collaborators with a background in chemical and/or process engineering.

Research Area:
Implementation of CO2 adsorbents in medium-scale demonstrators for post-combustion and direct air capture.

Location:
EnergyPolis Campus, EPFL-Valais in Sion, Switzerland.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • For Position 1: PhD in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry preferrable, with experience in synthesis of porous materials and structuring.
  • For Position 2: PhD in Chemical Engineering or Process Modelling with a background in CO2 separations and process modeling tools as a plus.
  • Proficiency in characterizations techniques like breakthrough separations, thermal gravimetric analysis, spectroscopy, etc.
  • Creativity, self-motivation, excellent English communication skills.

Job Description:
The positions involve implementing CO2 adsorbents in demonstrators, focusing on CO2 capture technologies. Candidates will be expected to work on the synthesis of porous materials, characterization techniques, and contribute to the research in CO2 separations.
