The position focuses on exploring the role of mitochondrial quality control in neurodegenerative diseases, with a particular emphasis on RNA-binding proteins.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Doctoral degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Neurobiology, or a related field.
- Practical experience in molecular, biochemical, and cell biology techniques.
- Preferred: Experience in RNA biology, translational regulation, and structural biology.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently in an international research environment.
- Proactive, flexible, and possesses a problem-solving attitude.
Job Description:
- Develop and lead a research project focused on understanding how the RNA-binding protein CLUH regulates mRNAs that encode mitochondrial proteins.
- Conduct independent research under the guidance of the Principal Investigator.
- Accurately record and analyze data, adhering to good scientific practices.
- Collaborate with leading groups in mitochondrial medicine, including those at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing.
