Research Area:
Digital expansion of valuation – exploring mechanisms for enabling a paradigm shift in real estate valuation through digital transformation of the built environment.

ETH Zurich, Switzerland, with secondment opportunities to industry and university partners.
Eligibility/Qualification:
- MSc degree in computer science, digitalization, smart buildings, data science, architecture, or relevant engineering fields
- Proficiency in English
- Strong IT skills, mixed research methods, and good communicative skills
- Background in digital technologies, reality capture, machine learning, or computer vision
- Experience in data analysis, programming language (e.g., Python, R), and software tools used in construction research
Job Description:
The doctoral candidate will engage in a transdisciplinary doctoral training program across 8 universities and 14 industry partners. The project will focus on exploring the role of new digital tools in buildings to support innovative real estate valuation methods. This includes defining relevant data for valuation methods, testing new digital technologies, and producing academic papers and an accessible report for real estate professionals.
