Scholarship Description
The research position is within the Molecular Botany Lab, which investigates the local and dynamic responses of plant cells to oxidative stress. The project aims to uncover how plants survive under dynamic and adverse environmental conditions. The successful candidate will engage in planning, implementing, and analyzing experiments, utilizing standard molecular biology methods, confocal microscopy, and genetically encoded biosensors. Additional responsibilities include establishing new methods, improving scientific research skills, participating in national and international projects, and presenting findings at conferences.
Eligibility
- Educational Background: A Master of Science, diploma, or equivalent in Biology, Biochemistry, Agricultural Sciences, or a related field.
- Research Motivation: Strong motivation to develop and execute a research project focusing on molecular biology.
- Research Interests: A keen interest in redox biology, microscopy, and plant model organisms.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in an international team.
- Language Skills: Advanced English language skills are required. German language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
