Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Biology, Developmental Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with Drosophila genetics, Immunohistochemistry, Microscopy, Tissue culture, and/or Biochemistry
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- PhD degree obtained within the last 3 years
- Strong peer-reviewed publication(s) record
Job Description:
The Postdoctoral Fellow role involves conducting research on the Drosophila model to study DV patterning in the developing eye. The successful candidate will work on a NIH-funded project led by Amit Singh and Madhuri Kango-Singh. The focus will be on investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying early eye patterning, birth defects, signaling, and growth regulation during eye development. The role requires a high level of motivation and a commitment to contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge in this field.
