The successful candidates will engage in revolutionary multidisciplinary mechanobiology research to unravel how plants sense and respond to mechanical stimuli, with the aim of improving plant regeneration, seed longevity, and disease resistance.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. Student:
- Master’s degree in Mathematics, Biology, Physics, or related fields
- Proficiency in mathematical and computational modeling
- Experience or strong interest in plant development and regeneration
- Postdoctoral Researcher:
- Ph.D. in Mathematics, Biology, Physics, or related fields
- Expertise in mathematical modeling and simulation
- Prior experience in plant tissue growth and three-dimensional simulation models
Job Description:
- Engage in mathematical and computational modeling of plant development and regeneration
- Extend plant tissue simulation codes and models of plant tissue growth to three dimensions
- Collaborate with experimental and theoretical scientists in the GreenTE consortium
- Co-supervised by Prof. Dolf Weijers and Prof. Jasper van der Gucht of Wageningen University
- Based at the Faculty of Science of Leiden University with the Multiscale Mathematical Biology group
