Postdoctoral Fellowship in Chemistry: We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join our dynamic team at IPREM for the EFFECTOR project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of organic photovoltaic (OPV) devices and be part of a significant research initiative funded by the European Commission.

Research Area: Chemistry of poly(fullerene) polymers for organic photovoltaic (OPV) devices
Location: PAU

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Desired level of education: Level 8 – (Doctorate)
  • Desired experience: 1 to 4 years
  • PhD in polymer, materials, or organic chemistry
  • Strong enthusiasm for polymer chemistry and fullerenes
  • In-depth knowledge of polymer chemistry
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English
  • Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements
  • International travel may be required for conferences and meetings with partners and collaborators

Job Description:
The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for the synthesis of poly(fullerenes) for organic photovoltaic (OPV) devices, characterization of small molecules and polymers, writing reports and delivering presentations in English. The position will also involve international travel for conferences and meetings with partners and collaborators.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Remuneration: Between €2,991.58 and €3,417.33 gross monthly depending on experience
  • Contract duration: 12 months
  • Expected hiring date: January 1, 2025
  • Full-time workload
