Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in natural sciences or MD in medical sciences (PhD to be awarded by program start).
- PhD defense date no earlier than 2022.
- At least one first-author publication.
- Strong motivation for biomedical research and ERC Starting Grant potential.
- Backgrounds in molecular biology, bioinformatics, bioengineering, or related fields.
Job Description:
- Conduct innovative research in one of CeMM’s research groups, focusing on areas such as cancer, immunology, aging, and drug discovery.
- Address medically relevant problems such as disease mechanisms, modern therapeutics, and diagnostic strategies.
- Collaborate with clinicians, biotech, and pharma to translate research discoveries into real-world applications.
- Participate in interdisciplinary projects that connect biology with medicine, experiments with computation, and discovery with clinical translation.
- Benefit from career development and leadership training, with special focus on writing successful ERC Starting Grant proposals.
- Postdocs will receive a competitive salary of EUR 4,752.30 gross monthly, paid 14 times a year, along with full insurance coverage and relocation support.
