Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Bioinformatics: The Department of Biosciences at the University of Oslo is seeking a qualified individual to join as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the field of bioinformatics. The successful candidate will be involved in developing computational methods for processing, visualizing, and analyzing data from ribosome profiling using high-throughput sequencing techniques.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Hold a degree equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in bioinformatics
  • Experience with computational method development for ribosome profiling
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Desired qualifications include experience with big data, computational methods related to big data, and software development

Job Description:

The postdoctoral research fellow will be responsible for developing computational methods focused on ribosome profiling data analysis. This position offers the opportunity to enhance skills essential for pursuing a top scientific career within or outside academia. The fellowship period is three years, with possible extension to a fourth year with additional workload.
