Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Neurobiology, Developmental Biology, Entomology, Toxicology, or a related field (must be obtained before the start date).
  • Significant experience with RNAi, RT-PCR, and molecular techniques.

Job Description:

The selected Postdoctoral Associate will:

  • Lead research on the sublethal effects of pesticides on insect development.
  • Conduct RNA studies to knockdown peptides and receptors, exploring the roles of neuroactive compounds in insect ecdysis and their molecular binding sites.
  • Author two or more publications.
  • Write grants and mentor graduate students.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, technical writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ensure timely completion of research and reporting.
