- Eligibility/Qualification: A PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or biomedical sciences is required. Ideal candidates will have a strong background and interest in RNA biology, protein synthesis/homeostasis, mouse modeling, and/or cancer biology. Applicants should be passionate about applying basic science research to clinically relevant problems faced by cancer patients. Preference will be given to candidates with less than 2 years of previous postdoctoral experience in a related field.
- Job Description: The successful candidates will be involved in two exciting projects. The first project focuses on identifying regulators of selective translation and spatial RNA interactions in the cell during drug resistance in cancer, with the potential to move into translational research later. The second project involves studying adaptive stress responses in pancreatic tumors, which will require mouse modeling, tissue analysis, and in vivo treatments. Postdocs are expected to conduct independent research, perform their own analysis, grow their projects, and mentor other researchers in the lab.
- How to Apply: Interested candidates are required to submit a cover letter explaining their interest in the position, a CV, and the names of three references via email to Crystal.Conn@pennmedicine.upenn.edu.
- Last Date for Apply: Not specified. Applications will be considered until the positions are filled. Apply at the earliest opportunity.
