Eligibility/Qualification:
- Recent PhD degree with a focus on bioinformatics and/or statistical modeling of microbiomes
- Strong track record with one or more related publications as first author in a peer-reviewed scientific journal
- Passion for data analysis and possess appropriate computational skills
- Proficiency in English
- Proven ability to work in interdisciplinary settings with a strong team orientation
- The candidate should have the ambition and capability to take ownership of the research project
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing bioinformatics and statistical modeling methods for detection and analysis of direct and indirect effects in the integrated soil-crop-gut-health axis
- Collaborating with research partners within the MicroHealth consortium
- Reporting progress and presenting work on a regular basis to research partners and stakeholders within the consortium
- Publishing results in high-level international journals and presenting at leading conferences
- Contributing to the fundamental and/or applied research of the Biosystems Data Analysis group
