Designation:
PhD Student (m/f/d) – Position limited to 65% for three years.
Research Area:
Targeting IL-13 mediated signaling pathways as a potential therapeutic approach in a mouse model for pulmonary occlusive vasculopathy.
Location:
Research Center Borstel, Parkallee 1-40, 23845 Borstel, Germany
Eligibility/Qualification:
- A master’s degree (or equivalent) with excellent grades in biology, microbiology, or immunology.
- Experience in handling animal and in vivo studies.
- Strong interest and background in immunology.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
Job Description:
- Characterization of ex vivo and in vivo experimental models of pulmonary occlusive vasculopathy.
- Investigation of the role of IL-13Rα1- and IL-13Rα2-mediated signaling pathways in IL-13-induced hyperplasia of PASMC in vitro.
- Determination of the efficacy of therapeutic targeting IL-13Rα1- or IL-13Rα2-mediated signaling pathways ex vivo and in vivo.
