Postdoctoral Researcher – Molecular Spintronics: The International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) is seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in theoretical or computational quantum nanostructures. The successful candidate will join the Rossier Research Group to work on an interdisciplinary project exploring the design of open-shell nanographenes for quantum spintronics applications.

Job Description:
As a Research Fellow, you will:
- Conduct research on open-shell nanographene molecules using many-body physics and open quantum system techniques.
- Develop computational models and codes to simulate nanographene and its interaction with scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) tips.
- Collaborate with partners from Empa, ETH Zurich, University of Zurich, and INL within the PiMag project.
- Disseminate research findings at conferences and publish in scientific journals.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to project reporting.

Eligibility/Qualification:
Education:
- PhD in Physics or related fields (Chemistry), with a strong foundation in theoretical/computational nanostructures.
Experience:
- Many-body physics and nanoscale system modeling.
- Proficiency in programming and code development.
- Prior research experience in electronic and spin excitations on surfaces or graphene.
- Track record of scientific publications.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in electronic structure calculations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ab-initio and multiconfigurational methods.
- Experience working with computer clusters and spin properties of molecules.
Personal Skills:
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in English.
