Research Area:
Advancing understanding of molecular and cellular pathological mechanisms of myasthenia gravis and developing antigen-specific immunosuppressive therapies for the disease.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD or equivalent qualification in a relevant field by the date of employment.
  • Prior experience in tissue culture, flow cytometry, and animal models is essential; additional experience in molecular biology, immunology, and biochemical techniques is a plus.

Job Description:
As a Postdoctoral Associate at Dr. Lou’s Laboratory, you will:

  • Perform injection, tissue collection, clinical evaluation, and analyzing of results in animal experiments.
  • Conduct immunoassays, flow cytometry analysis, mammalian and bacterial cell cultures, DNA preparation, and protein purification.
  • Plan and schedule experiments consistent with ongoing research projects.
  • Support faculty and staff in the research group, as well as external partners, in communicating results, figures, charts, and tables as needed.
  • Assist with the preparation of regulatory documents, manuscripts, and grants.
  • Compile results and prepare technical reports and documentation of outcomes.
  • Supervise other personnel in the laboratory and participate in training of fellows, residents, students, and volunteer workers as needed.
