The Institute of Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Researcher to work with Jun.-Prof. Dr. Johannes Walker.

Synthesis and Functionalization of Bridged Bicyclic Compounds

Location:
Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Göttingen, Germany

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A PhD and Master’s degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry
  • Experience in multistep organic synthesis
  • Desirable experience in homogeneous catalysis and/or photocatalysis
  • Detailed expertise in analytical and spectroscopic tools: NMR, XRD, IR, UV-Vis, MS, CV, Fluorescence Spectroscopy
  • Proficient in English and/or German language

Job Description:

  • Conduct research within the research group of Jun.-Prof. Dr. Johannes Walker on the synthesis and functionalization of bridged bicyclic compounds
  • Manage own research and administrative activities
  • Interest in supervising internship and thesis students within the group
  • Collaborate with other national and international research groups
  • Work independently and as a part of a team
  • Potential cooperation with other national and international research groups
