Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Biological Sciences or a related field (obtained within the last 7 years, extended for childcare or research breaks as applicable)
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in protein and RNA biochemistry, including molecular biology techniques
- Experience with human cell culture, cell line construction, and super-resolution microscopy
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with Minflux microscopy is an asset
- Candidate must meet the requirements of art. 113 of the Act – Law on Higher Education and Science (dated July 20, 2018, Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742 as amended)
Job Description:
The selected candidate will contribute to understanding mitochondrial RNA transport mechanisms through:
- Purification of proteins and RNA
- Biophysical characterization of protein-RNA complexes using MST, FP, and biolayer interferometry
- Investigation of RNA delivery in human cells using super-resolution microscopy
- Conducting experiments, analyzing data, and preparing results for dissemination
- Assisting in writing and publishing research papers
