Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in Materials Science or equivalent (Bac+5).

- Knowledge of materials (molten salts, oxides, alloys) and energy storage systems is preferred.
Description
The doctoral research will focus on developing innovative heterogeneous materials for thermal energy storage. The project aims to enhance the understanding of microstructure-properties relationships, the degradation mechanisms of materials, and the prediction of heat and mass transfer within thermal energy storage systems. The researcher will engage in the following key activities:
- Characterization and selection of inorganic phase change materials (PCMs).
- Development and deep characterization of ceramic/PCM materials through sustainable and innovative processes.
- Methodology development for multi-material durability tests.
- Studies on phase transitions, reactive mechanisms at the micro-scale, and presentation of findings at various conferences.
