Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in a relevant field such as biology, ecology, biometry, statistics, or related areas.
- Demonstrated experience in quantitative biosecurity or adjacent fields.
- Strong problem-solving skills with enthusiasm for collaborative work.
- Australian citizenship is required.
- Eligibility and willingness to apply for a baseline security clearance.
Job Description
- Conduct independent research focused on quantitative methods in biosecurity.
- Collaborate with the Commonwealth Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, contributing to reports and research efforts.
- Support PhD students through supervision, training, and mentorship.
- Engage in Centre activities that enhance research collaboration and knowledge transfer within the field of plant biosecurity.
- Participate in outreach and dissemination of research findings to stakeholders.
