Description
Millipedes are essential invertebrates within terrestrial ecosystems and host diverse microbiomes in their guts. The PhD project aims to explore these microorganisms’ roles and functions, contributing to our understanding of soil processes and nutrient cycling. The successful candidate will work at the Institute of Soil Biology and Biogeochemistry under the guidance of Dr. Roey Angel in collaboration with the University of South Bohemia.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting laboratory and computational work.
- Utilizing diverse methodological approaches such as molecular biology and stable isotopes.
- Contributing to a research group focused on soil regeneration and health.
