Eligibility/Qualification
- A PhD or foreign degree deemed equivalent to a Swedish PhD is required.
- Completion of the doctoral degree preferably within the last three years.
Particularly Meritorious:
- Expertise in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer’s.
- Experience with intracellular protein degradation and autophagy.
- Practical experience working in vivo with mouse models.
- Proficiency in biochemical and molecular biology techniques, including fluorescence microscopy.
- Good written and spoken English.
Meritorious:
- Strong publication track record in preclinical Alzheimer research.
- Knowledge of small animal in vivo imaging techniques.
- Experience presenting research at international scientific conferences.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Evaluating newly designed compounds in mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease to understand disease mechanisms.
- Assessing the efficacy and mechanisms of action of drug candidates through both biochemical and immunohistochemical analyses in vitro, and through imaging techniques like PET and MR in vivo.
- Collaborating within a dynamic research environment and contributing to a culture of scientific excellence.
