Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Research experience in quantum information theory.
  • Experience in device-independence and/or methods for calculating quantum entropies is desirable.

Description

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Prof. Roger Colbeck to investigate the implementation of device-independent protocols, including quantum random number generation and quantum key distribution. The role requires collaboration with experimental teams at the National Physical Laboratory. Responsibilities include conducting research aligned with the Integrated Quantum Networks Hub’s objectives, preparing research papers and reports, and presenting findings at conferences and workshops.
