Postdoctoral Researcher in Auditory Neuroscience: Newcastle University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join an exciting project funded by a four-year BBSRC-NSF/BIO Lead Agency US-UK partnership grant. Job Description
The successful candidate will be involved in cutting-edge research that aims to advance our understanding of auditory memory and prediction mechanisms. This includes:
- Conducting laminar electrophysiology studies on prefrontal, auditory, and hippocampal circuits in a primate model.
- Collaborating with researchers at the University of Iowa to bridge findings from animal models to neurosurgical patients.
- Contributing to the development of diagnostic and treatment options for neurological and neurosurgical patients, including those with amnesia, epilepsy, autism spectrum disorder, and communication disorders.
- Engaging in opportunities for training in state-of-the-art neurobiological technologies and participating in career development activities.
