Eligibility/Qualification:
- Required:
- MSc degree in a relevant subject (e.g., forest ecology, microbial ecology, soil science)

- Fieldwork and laboratory experience
- Familiarity with soil analysis and data analysis tools (e.g., R or other programming languages)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Job Description:
The PhD candidate will:
- Investigate soil carbon turnover in managed boreal forests
- Utilize tools like 14C analysis, NMR, and FTIR for research
- Conduct fieldwork and manage controlled experiments
- Perform molecular biology lab work and analyze data with advanced statistical methods
- Write scientific manuscripts and contribute to project activities
This position is fully funded for four years, culminating in the defense of a doctoral thesis.
