Designation: Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Research Area: Candidates are invited to propose ambitious research projects in one of the following key areas:
- Machine Learning for Scientific Applications
- Machine Learning for Particle Physics, Astrophysics, and Cosmology
- Computing for Human and Animal Communication
- Machine Learning in Climate Research
- Personalised Medicine and Life Sciences
Location: Slovenia (hosted by one of the following institutions):
- University of Nova Gorica
- University of Ljubljana
- Jožef Stefan Institute
- Institute of Information Science
- Slovenian Environment Agency
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Holders of a PhD degree in a relevant field, of any nationality.
- Must comply with the MSCA-COFUND mobility rule (no more than 12 months residence or main activity in Slovenia within the three years before the call deadline).
- Researchers who have successfully defended their doctoral thesis but have not yet been formally awarded their doctorate are also eligible.
- Commitment to the values of diversity and inclusion is essential.
Job Description:
Selected candidates will be employed on a 2-year full-time contract with attractive compensation and conditions. Responsibilities include:
- Designing and proposing innovative research projects using cutting-edge machine learning or artificial intelligence techniques.
- Collaborating with leading researchers from various disciplines to address significant scientific and societal challenges.
- Participating in a personalized training program and career mentoring by leading academic and industry professionals.
- Engaging in interdisciplinary interactions and contributing to the research community.
