Research Area

The focus will be on complex quantum processes, quantum error correction, and practical applications in quantum computing.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • Expertise in:
  • Complex quantum processes
  • Quantum error corrections
  • Tensor networks
  • Optimisation and machine learning
  • Software infrastructure development
  • Experience in quantum engineering, quantum computing, and/or quantum information sciences is an asset.
  • A deep understanding of quantum algorithms and/or experience with quantum hardware is beneficial.
  • Proven collaborative skills and ability to mentor students.

Job Description

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Conducting research on complex quantum processes using process tensor formalism.
  • Simulating quantum processes on quantum computers.
  • Co-supervising students and advising on quantum programming.
  • Building and sustaining quantum computing capabilities at Monash University.
  • Engaging in collaborative and independent research efforts to contribute to the university’s research goals.
