Eligibility/Qualification
- Education: PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or related fields. Candidates near completion of their PhD will also be considered, provided they receive their degree before starting the role.
- Experience and Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in optical modelling.
- Familiarity with CIGS solar cells and light management techniques.
- Valued Skills:
- Experience with clean room microfabrication.
- Knowledge of optoelectronics characterization and fabrication.
- Prior involvement in Horizon Europe and other funded projects.
- Proficiency in writing technical reports.
Job Description
The Postdoctoral Researcher will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Conduct optical modelling of CIGS solar cells.
- Design and execute nanofabrication processes for light management structures.
- Characterize and fabricate CIGS solar cells.
- Prepare and present technical reports related to the Hi-BITS project, which focuses on high efficiency bifacial thin-film chalcogenide solar cells.
