Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A PhD (or nearing completion) in Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Geology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in cement and concrete chemistry.
  • A demonstrable passion for sustainability and innovative research.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will:

  • Conduct research on cement and concrete science, focusing on the utilization of lithium slag as a supplementary cementitious material.
  • Develop research objectives and proposals, contributing to high-quality research output.
  • Engage in life cycle assessments to evaluate the environmental impact of new concrete materials.
  • Participate in real-scale trials and collaborate with academic, industry, and policy stakeholders.
  • Produce project outputs for public dissemination, thereby ensuring the research has a meaningful societal impact.
  • Create networks to enhance the visibility and impact of the School’s research activities.
  • Participate in administrative tasks related to the project, including planning and progress reporting.
