Eligibility/Qualification:
- A PhD degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven capabilities and experience in laboratory setups.
- Knowledge and experience in chemical reactor engineering and electrochemistry are highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, creativity, and initiative.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Experience supervising BSc and MSc students is a plus.
Job Description:
You will contribute to the development of new electrode coatings to improve efficiency and durability in alkaline water electrolysis, facilitating more affordable green hydrogen production. The position involves:
- Synthesizing new coating materials in collaboration with industrial partners.
- Performing flow cell measurements under real industrial conditions (30 wt% KOH, 80 °C).
- Executing accelerated stress tests to evaluate the coatings’ real-world applicability.
- Working closely with another postdoc focused on the characterization of the coating materials.
- Engaging in research that aims to bridge academic insights with practical industrial applications.
