Postdoctoral Research Associate: The Branco lab at Queen Mary University of London is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious postdoctoral researcher to investigate the epigenetic regulation of transposable elements (TEs) and their functional roles in the context of endometrial development, health, and disease.
Designation: Postdoctoral Research Associate

- Epigenetic regulation of transposable elements (TEs)
- Functional roles of TEs in endometrial development, health, and disease
Location: Queen Mary University of London, UK
Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in a relevant field such as cellular and molecular biology, mammalian development, or pregnancy-related research
- Expertise in epigenomic profiling techniques and associated bioinformatics
- Experience with organoid culture and manipulation (preferred but not essential)
Job Description:
- Use endometrial organoids, epigenomic profiling, genetic and epigenetic editing, and other complementary approaches to assess the functional impact of TEs on endometrial function
- Investigate the evolutionary perspective of how TEs shaped the regulatory landscape of the endometrial epithelium using organoids from non-human primates
- Collaborate with the Branco lab and other research groups to achieve the project’s objectives
