Eligibility/Qualification

  • Must possess or be on track to obtain at least a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in Thermal or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in software such as Ansys and Particleworks is advantageous.
  • Programming skills in MATLAB and Simulink would be beneficial.

Job Description

The research will focus on:

  • Investigating cutting-edge cooling techniques to enhance electrical machine performance, including jet and spray cooling.
  • Utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and lumped parameter thermal networks.
  • Considering cryogenic fluids for future electric propulsion systems, particularly in aircraft applications.
  • Collaboration within the Power Electronics, Machines and Control (PEMC) Research Institute, which is renowned for its research and collaboration in the field.
