Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Conduct electrophysiological, optical, metabolism, and behavioral studies focused on the effects of medium-chain fatty acids (MCTs) on alcohol use disorder.
- Evaluate behavioral effects, neuronal activity, and metabolic changes in a mouse model of alcohol use disorder across three collaborative research work packages.
- Engage in high-quality independent research leading to publication and participate in teaching within the Department of Drug Design’s Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science programs.
- Collaborate with national and international research groups and present findings at local and international meetings.
Main Tasks:
- Conduct patch clamp electrophysiology and optical studies in brain slices.
- Execute behavioral assays in mouse models of AUD.
- Mentor students and contribute to teaching and research development.
