Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in Material Science, Physics, or Chemical Engineering/Chemistry within the past 3 years.
  • Detailed understanding of modeling of bulk battery materials properties and/or molecular dynamics at interfaces, such as electrolytes and electrochemistry.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • Density Functional Theory and its applications to bulk materials or heterogeneous catalysis.
  • Battery redox processes, SEI, and bulk electrolytes.
  • Using machine learning (ML) tools and classical or ab-initio molecular dynamics.
  • Proficiency in mid- to high-level Python programming, particularly with Pymatgen and ASE.
