Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in Material Science, Physics, or Chemical Engineering/Chemistry within the past 3 years.
- Detailed understanding of modeling of bulk battery materials properties.
- Experience in molecular dynamics at interfaces (electrolytes and electrochemistry).
Job Description
The successful candidate will engage in research involving:
- Modeling and simulation of bulk battery materials, focusing on molecular dynamics at interfaces.
- Utilizing knowledge of density functional theory and its applications in battery redox processes, SEI, and bulk electrolytes.
- Applying machine learning techniques alongside classical or ab-initio molecular dynamics.
Professional Skills Required:
- Strong team skills with the ability to manage and monitor multiple projects simultaneously.
- Independent, quick learning, and adaptable mindset with a good work ethic.
- Proficiency in oral, written, and graphical communication in English.
Methods & Toolset:
- Knowledge of density functional theory.
- Experience with Pymatgen and Pourbaix Diagrams, as well as ASE (Atomic Simulation Environment).
- Proficiency in mid- to high-level Python programming.
