Eligibility/Qualification:
- M.Sc. in Dendrochronology, Forest Ecology, Climatology, Geography, or Ecosystem Modelling
- Ability to participate in fieldwork
- Capability to work both independently and within a team
- Strong data analysis and scientific writing skills
- Fluency in English (oral and written communication skills)
- Preferred skills: Programming (e.g., R), Statistics (temporal analysis), GIS
Job Description:
- Conduct tree-ring-based research on the impact of tropical cyclones on forest ecosystems
- Engage in large-scale reconstruction of tropical cyclone activity
- Analyze the effects of tropical cyclones on tree growth and forest dynamics
- Utilize extensive existing datasets and modern research equipment
- Participate in international collaborations and fieldwork
- Learn and apply laboratory techniques related to tree-ring research
