Eligibility/Qualification:
- MSc degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related discipline
- Strong enthusiasm for RNA biochemistry and epitranscriptomics
- Creativity, initiative, teamwork, and proficiency in English
- Teaching inclination is advantageous
- Prior experience in RNA biology, next-generation sequencing, and/or mass spectrometry is beneficial but not mandatory
Job Description:
The Ph.D. candidate will:
- Investigate coenzyme-linked RNAs and their biological significance
- Expand existing RNA modification detection protocols, including NAD captureSeq
- Develop new capture methods for various RNA modifications
- Study RNA modifications across different organisms to assess occurrence and function
- Conduct transcriptome-wide profiling and mechanistic studies
- Work in an interdisciplinary environment, integrating biochemistry, molecular biology, and bioinformatics
