Research Area:
Molecular Microbiology focusing on phage-anti-phage systems dynamics, particularly in Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Academic Qualification: Normally Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 12 [PhD] in bacteriology or a related discipline with at least 2 years’ post-doctoral experience.
- Essential Skills:
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience in molecular cloning, genetics, microbiology, and bioinformatics.
- Excellent skills in fluorescence microscopy, bioinformatics data analysis (Unix/Python), and communication abilities.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will:
- Plan and conduct research in alignment with project deliverables and the group’s research strategy.
- Document research outputs, analyze data, and draft reports/publications.
- Establish an in vitro endotracheal tube model in collaboration with the Harrison lab.
- Contribute to the writing of publications and research proposals.
- Engage in teaching activities and mentor undergraduate/postgraduate students.
- Undertake administrative tasks related to the research group.
- Participate in group meetings and enhance the culture of the School.
