Eligibility/Qualifications:
To be considered, candidates need to meet the following minimum requirements:
- Educational Requirements:
- A PhD in a relevant discipline: Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Publication Record:
- Two or more published articles in top international conferences or journals (e.g., MICCAI, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, IEEE TMI, Medical Image Analysis).
- At least one article as the first author.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in Python programming and deep learning frameworks.
- Proficiency in machine learning algorithms for classification, segmentation, and regression tasks.
- Additional Desirable Qualifications:
- Postdoctoral research experience (preferred but not mandatory).
Job Description:
The postdoctoral researcher will work closely with the BioMedIA group at MBZUAI, contributing to groundbreaking research in biomedical imaging and AI. Key duties include:
- Research Development:
- Conduct independent research and analyze complex qualitative/quantitative data.
- Develop and pursue innovative analytical methods in biomedical imaging and machine learning.
- Author research articles for peer-reviewed conferences (e.g., MICCAI, CVPR) and journals.
- Present findings at national/international conferences and seminars.
- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Manage and lead collaborations with project partners.
- Guide MSc and PhD students on their research projects.
- Shape research plans and contribute to securing funding for new projects.
- Teaching Opportunities:
- Participate in or lead teaching and supervision activities, including lecturing, small-group teaching, and MSc/PhD project supervision.
