Eligibility/Qualification

  • Ph.D. degree, or an equivalent foreign degree.
  • Degree must be completed by the time the employment decision is made, not more than three years prior to the application deadline.
  • Strong background in computer science, geosciences, physics, or applied mathematics.
  • Documented experience in developing and applying machine learning algorithms.
  • Fluent in English; ability to work both independently and collaboratively under deadlines.

Job Description

The selected candidate will:

  • Apply advanced machine learning methods (e.g., supervised learning, clustering, neural networks) to classify submarine landforms.
  • Collaborate with geomorphologists to ensure geological relevance and validate model results.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable tools for analyzing marine geophysical data and supporting predictions of glacial dynamics under climate change.
