Job Description

The successful candidate will engage in research to develop novel catalysts inspired by biological systems for CO2 valorisation. This will include synthesizing organometallic complexes, characterizing their structure, and evaluating their efficiency in activating CO2. The project offers opportunities to contribute to advancements in sustainable chemistry with potential applications in nitrogen activation and carbon recycling.

Funding

The scholarship provides:

  • A living allowance stipend of $33,511 per annum (2025 rate, indexed annually) for 3.5 years.
  • A relocation allowance of up to $2,000.
  • Tuition fees offset covering the cost of tuition fees for up to four years for domestic applicants; international applicants will receive a University of Tasmania Fees Offset for up to four years.
