Research Area
The research focuses on pioneering organotypic slice cultures to test nanomaterials for integration with neural circuits. Key activities will include:
- Assessing bio-tolerability in organ slices and monitoring tissue reactivity.
- Testing the efficacy of magnetic sensors in conjunction with live imaging and electrophysiology.
- Developing minimally invasive neural stimulation interfaces.
- Creating a bench-top system to facilitate neural communication.
Eligibility/Qualification
Candidates should possess a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) or equivalent in a relevant field such as Neuroscience, Biotechnology, Biology, or Physiology. A background in electrophysiology, microscopy, and live imaging is highly preferred.
Job Description
The PhD candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing and conducting experiments under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
- Documenting and analyzing experimental results accurately.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and participating in scientific meetings and outreach activities.
How to Apply
Candidates must submit the following materials to be considered for the PhD program:
- Academic transcripts, including course lists and grades.
- A copy of the M.Sc. thesis.
