- For 3-Year PhD Stipend:
- Must hold an MSc in mathematical statistics, mathematically founded data science, mathematical economics, or similar.
- For 4-Year Integrated PhD Stipend:
- Completion of 4 years of full-time studies in a relevant field but does not necessarily hold a Master’s degree.
- Applicants close to completing their MSc can also apply, pending a statement from their supervisor regarding the expected completion date.
Description
The PhD project aims at forecasting occurrences of pirate attacks through statistical modeling, offering rich research opportunities in areas like space-time counting processes, space-time asymptotic statistics, and computational statistics.
