Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD degree in Chemistry, Bioengineering, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field obtained within the last 5 years.
- Minimum of three first-author publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
- Research experience in electrochemical sensing, biofunctionalization, and surface characterization.
Job Description
The postdoctoral researcher will be integral to the BioMAD Lab’s initiative, with responsibilities including:
- Designing and developing electrochemical biosensors.
- Characterizing sensors using advanced techniques.
- Writing weekly progress reports and mentoring PhD students.
- Engaging in lab management activities and collaborating with both local and international institutions.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in electrochemical sensing techniques (CV, DPV, EIS, SWV).
- Experience with biofunctionalization strategies (e.g., silanization, EDC-NHS chemistry).
- Familiarity with surface characterization techniques (XPS, Raman Spectroscopy, SEM).
- Skills in software for data analysis and plotting (e.g., PS Trace, Metrohm NOVA, Matlab, Graphpad Prism).
Desired Skills
- Experience with nanomaterials fabrication and characterization.
- Familiarity with fluorescence/confocal/optical microscopy.
- Knowledge in microfabrication and/or microfluidics.
- Experience in grant writing.
