Researcher/Postdoc at Leibniz Centre: The Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) is offering a part-time position for a researcher/postdoctoral fellow focused on agroecological transitions. The selected candidate will contribute to the project “Supporting Agroecological Transitions of Agroforestry Landscapes using an Innovative Transdisciplinary Assessment Framework (AGRECO4CAST).” This role involves designing participatory assessment tools, coordinating policy analysis, and engaging stakeholders in agroecological scenario development.

Eligibility/Qualification
Required:
- PhD in agricultural or horticultural sciences, or a related discipline, preferably with a socio-economic focus.
- Hands-on experience organizing workshops with farming, value chain, NGO, and policy stakeholders.
- Experience in conducting participatory ex-ante impact assessments.
- Proficiency in stakeholder-based tools for scenario building and impact assessments.
- Experience in interdisciplinary work at the interface between natural and social sciences.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of sustainable soil management and the role of soils in sustainable development.
- Experience with ecosystem services assessments.
- Good to very good written and spoken English skills; willingness to participate in internal German language courses.
Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing participatory assessment tools for the AGRECO4CAST toolbox and contributing to its application in case study regions.
- Coordinating the analysis of policies affecting agroecological transitions and business models in case study regions.
- Supporting the development of agroecological transition scenarios and digital round tables, as well as an adapted AI chatbot.
- Contributing to project coordination and dissemination of research findings.
- Publishing research in high-ranking journals.
