Eligibility/Qualification

Required:

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related fields.
  • Expertise in small molecule synthesis, purification, and characterization.
  • Experience in one or more of the following fields: supramolecular chemistry, photochemistry, and/or electrochemistry.
  • Strong experimental and analytical skills.
  • Fluency in English with excellent communicative and reporting skills.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented research mindset.

Preferred:

  • A background in interdisciplinary research projects involving chemistry, material science, engineering, and device fabrication.

Description

The research project is designed to develop sustainable chemical pathways for the circular economy, focusing on technologies inspired by nature, such as biomimetic principles, (photo)electrochemistry, and photocatalysis. The candidate will work on multiple phases:

  1. Molecular synthesis of supramolecular and bio-inspired materials.
  2. Integration of these materials onto electrodes to build (photo)electrochemical devices.
  3. Characterization through advanced spectroscopic techniques.
  4. Mechanistic studies to achieve light-driven chemical synthesis and pave the way for sustainable solar chemicals.
