Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. or equivalent in solid-state chemistry, physics, materials science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in solid-state synthesis and single crystal growth.
- Knowledge in magnetism and nanoscience is essential.
- Experience in post-processing techniques, such as bonding and sintering, is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and scientific communication skills (oral and written).
Job Description:
- Synthesize, process, and characterize new rare-earth-free hard magnetic materials.
- Foster and manage transatlantic cooperation, communication, and exchanges in consultation with project PIs.
- Conduct advanced materials processing and characterization using standard laboratory techniques including x-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, calorimetry, force microscopy, and magnetometry.
- Experience with synchrotron and spectroscopic probes is considered a plus.
- Collaborate with a vibrant international team of scientists and engage in cutting-edge scientific projects.
