Research Area:

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computational Mechanics/Engineering, or a related discipline (Thesis submitted by the start date of the position).
  • Strong knowledge of numerical methods (FEM, FDM, and/or FVM).
  • Experience in formulating problems using the finite element method in solid and fluid mechanics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Fortran, and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with simulation software like ANSYS, OpenFOAM, StarCCM+, COMSOL, etc.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing advanced numerical methodologies and software frameworks for magnetoactive polymers in fluid-structure interactions.
  • Validating computational models against benchmarks and experimental results.
  • Assessing and improving the performance of algorithms on high-performance computing (HPC) clusters.
  • Collaborating with post-docs and PhD students on the project.
  • Engaging with academic and industrial partners for knowledge exchange activities.
